Make sure you have an online address
Last week we were asked to create a small brand identity for an accountancy firm and print and produce letterheads, compliment slips and business cards for them. Nothing unusual about that you may think, but there was one detail that just didn’t feel right… a free email service (you know the ones) email address that featured the company name, and as that wasn’t available, the random two digits on the end.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I think I’d prefer my accountant to have a proper domain name and email addresses at the firms company name dot com. For those of you don’t know, registering a domain name is extremely easy, you can use a huge variety of services. We use a company called www.silverserve.com, you register the domain, choose a package, for example an basic package or one that includes the hosting of your website and then create the email addresses you need. It really is that easy, it’s inexpensive and it makes your company look more professional.
Next time you look at some of your suppliers or customers have a think about how much more professional it looks rather than having firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re not sure how to go about creating a professional image, both off and online then contact us.
